Clan Cochrane Scotland Trip 2024 is confirmed and currently full at 29 participants!! A waiting list for those who would like to go is available in the event there are openings in the future.
The trip is scheduled for June 12 – 19, 2024 for a week full of Cochrane specific sites and tours. Includes transportation, hotels, tours, and most breakfasts and lunches. Does not include airfare.
This trip has been planned with Thistle Dhu, a well known and highly recommended Scottish Tour Company.
Events include 3 nights in Oban: Reception and Tour with Earl of Dundonald at Lochnell Castle on the seaside of Oban, a ferry over to the Isles of Mull and Iona, and free time in Oban to enjoy the town and its points of interest.
One night in Glasgow – tours of Paisley Abbey, Dundonald Castle, and Old Auchens House
3 nights in Edinburgh – Tours of Culross, Private early access to Edinburgh Castle and the Battle of Prestonpans, Scone Palace (the crowning place of Scottish Kings) and the Black Watch Museum.
Participants should be in good physical condition: able to navigate stairs, carry their luggage, and walk a half mile without distress.
Cost per person for double occupancy is 2165.00 GBP, about 2750.00 in USD. Single occupany is an addition 980 GBP.
